Catch-up TV is a form of Internet TV in which the TV programmes are made available for on-demand consumption for a certain number of days after their original broadcast by TV companies.
For catch-up TV, the consumer needs a special receiver (software application), which is also supplied by the content providers.
ORS provides optimum technical support to TV service providers planning to introduce a catch-up TV service. ORS technology takes the video signal and places it directly in the SDI stream. It then encodes the video clips in the correct end formats and places them on a video server. ORS also takes care of setting relevant editing points and markers from automated slot lists.
